Dave Norris and Local Ivan

Dave Norris & Local Ivan is an alt-folk/pop-rock band from Ottawa. The band's debut full-length album Alma Mater (2011) is a big-sounding affair; loud drums and heavy harmonies. The group are no strangers to recording and playing out live having released two EPs, No Scuttle and New Thoughts in 2009 and 2010 respectively. They are Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest 2011 Performing Artsits, JUNOfest 2012 performers, and have opened for acts The Good Lovelies, Owen Steel et al., Flecton Big Sky, Minto, Parlour Steps, The Darling Daemas, The Wilderness of Manitoba, The Deep dark Woods, and Hooded Fang among others.

Jack Pine + the Fire

Jack Pine and The Fire have made and album of insistent, black-skied folk, like something that blew in from the hills. Beautifully recorded, its songs are part-yesterday and part-today -- traditional folk with a wakeful heart. The sort of debut that makes you wish you were there to watch it being made, dodging the darting sparks.”

Mastik

Fevers
Fevers are an Ottawa-based five-piece and purveyors of independent, electronic pop. Theirs is a fresh take on a classic genre, combining indie rock and electronic music. They build on the work of M83, Stars and The Postal Service to develop their own distinct sound—one that is at once wholly modern and informed by careful listening.
The PepTides

The PepTides have taken the national capital by storm at their live performances, which include opening night of the Ottawa International Jazz Festival and PepTides 360, an intimate theatre-in-the-round experience which was voted 'Best Live Show 2011' (Ottawa XPress). A ticket to a PepTides show is an invitation to partake in a lavish post-apocalyptic fête. The brazen 9-member troop brings audiences an energetic spectacle featuring vibrant vocals, kitschy costumes, provocative videos and spontaneous dancing.
