Micheal Lafontaine, born and raised in Ottawa, ran his own business for nine years. Micheal came out at the age of 33 with three wonderful daughters and just recently, at the age of 46, a new grandson. 

Micheal stepped onto the Pride Committee in 1998 as the Fundraising Coordinator, utilizing his skills in event planning and team building. 

He returned to the Capital Pride Board of Directors in 2008 with the task of giving Pride Day a new look and feel. Micheal was elected as the 2009 Vice Chair Logistics/Operations and is looking forward to working with various groups to renew ties and develop a sense of family for all in our great and diverse community of Ottawa.
